How to create your Paypal 'Buy' Button

The first thing you do is to login to your Paypal account.

Once you login, click the 'Sell' tab. This will bring you to a new page where you can use 'Sellers Tools'.

Once you save the shipping charge, the screen will now show your current charges.
If you are going to sell just one item or wish to create separate 'Buy' buttons for each item, click on the Single Item Purchase link. The next page that shows there are various options you can use.

Buyers return page and such.

Make certain the information that is in the Miscellaneous section is what you want.

Make sure you fill in the correct e-mail address.

Now you can create your 'Buy' button.

Although pretty self-explanatory, just fill in the correct product information for the one item only.

Select which type of 'Buy' button you prefer. If you have your own, just type in the proper url where the image is located.

To add Shipping Charges and/or sales tax, click the 'Add More Options' button.

If you aren't going to use these options, just click the 'Create Button Now' link.

Once you create your 'buy' button the following screen appears. The form on the left is the HTML code you use for that one particular item. In our case, it's for the Widget #1.

You want to copy ( ctrl c ) this code and then paste ( ctrl v ) it beside, above, below your actual product image.

To insert it into your e-mail, use the code in the right box.

As I am selling Widgets in more than one color I decided to call my first item Widget 1. Anyways, click the Options button.. When you copy your buy button code, be sure ALL of the coding is highlighted.
To setup your shipping charges and/or sales tax, click the Shipping Preferences or Tax button. Should you wish to create another Buy button for your next product, click the 'Create Another' button.

If you are done, click the 'Done' button.

As I only want to add a shipping charge for the Widgets, and as this is the first new item, I am told that I have no shipping preferences. This will be the same for you.

Just click the 'Edit' button.

Although I used a sweatshirt, I'll just call it Widget #1.

As I use tables to construct the site, I just pasted the HTML coding for the 'Buy' button in the adjacent cell.

  To set your shipping charges:

1. I selected the flat fee. This is a fee you establish for each item.

2. Since it is a flat fee and the cost is under $9.99,

3. I charge a shipping fee of $1.50 per item.

4. Now click 'Save' to make this change go into effect.

NOTE: Whenever you make a change to your product, beit price, color, shipping charge, etc....,

You do not have to create a new' Buy' button to reflect the new changes. Simply go into the button coding and make your changes.

Don't forget to save any changes.
